A Tailor, A Cobbler & A Florist

I wanted to put together a monthly feature of my favourite shops in Edmonton! This month I wanted to feature some wardrobe necessities, a tailors, a leather repair shop and a florist! My favourites being Viva TailorsAdam’s Shoe Repair & Callingwood Flowers all of which are conveniently located in Callingwood Mall!

Adams Shoe Repair has saved a handful of my boots, shoes, sandals and handbags from chew marks (puppies), broken soles, torn straps etc. If you don’t have a good shoe repair man, find one and if you are in Edmonton get your butt over to Adams Shoe Repair. I take my boots there every spring to be resoled, polished and buff and they literally look brand new when I get them back!

My second wardrobe repair shop is Viva Tailors! My family has gone to Viva Tailors for years, since as long as I can remember! I had my grade 12 prom dress custom designed there as well as countless hems taken in or let out, winters can be tough on a girl;). Having a great tailor is critical to any wardrobe especially when your body type is not the norm for clothing designers. Being tall I struggle with pants especially dress pants and often have to let the pant leg seams out. I will purposely buy a great item on sale in a larger size knowing I can have it taken in at Viva’s and let them work their magic! Also if you are in the market for a custom designed dress for a wedding, prom or special night this is the place to go!

Lastly is my favourite flower shop in Edmonton! Callingwood Flowers has a very special place in my heart as they did the flowers for our wedding, anniversaries as well as years upon years of mother’s day and birthday bouquets! I have included the bouquet that Callingwood Flowers did for me (a smaller replica of my wedding bouquet for our one year anniversary photo shoot as well as the ones from my wedding!! Side note: Pictures taken by Kelsy Nielson the best photographer EVER, if you are looking for an amazing photographer, stop looking and call her:))

You will thank me later as these three shops alone will make those favourite boots shine, that classic bag sparkle, the perfect suit fit just right and an infusion of colour that will brighten any room or wardrobe!

Hope you enjoy!
