Hey guys!!
Ive had a lot of requests for a home tour and because we aren’t completely done furnishing the house I wanted to at least share my favourites so far! If you want any information on anything you see, where we got it from, anything, don’t hesitate to message me on here or Facebook!
Hope you enjoy! xo
Lets start off at our front entrance! This front entrance is a combination of Home Sense (table and luggage) and pieces that are very dear to my heart as they are gifts from my family, including the Home clock and frame from my aunt and cousins and the Living Life Frame from my Dad<3 We have waited so long for this house and I wanted to make sure our family felt just as at home as we do!
Next up! Our kitchen! Some of my favourite pieces in our kitchen include our granite and waterfall granite feature (hubby’s choice;)) I love the design and uniqueness of each slab! Our cabinets have the soft close function (which I would recommend to anyone) and one neat feature is the slide out cabinets on either side of the stove, one is a spice rack and one is a utensil holder! I am so happy with our cute little island lights, my utensil organizer haha (yes a $12 Walmart purchase) and my ice maker that I am obsessed with haha as I am one of those people that likes my drinks not just cold, ice cold!!
Up next, the Dining Room/Living Room! My favourite piece of our living room by far is our floor to ceiling stone fireplace!! Every since I was little I have wanted a fireplace to sit around on cold winter nights drinking hot chocolate and reading a good book and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful piece to centre our living room around! It was done by Blanchette Stone here in Edmonton, if you guys are in the market for any stone go in and ask for Cory, the whole experience with them was amazing!! After the fireplace, it would be our hardwood! We chose to go with a rustic grey, matte barn wood finish, it is absolutely stunning, does not show dirt or Cali’s hair and its a breeze to clean!! Our dining room set that we picked up at HomeSense is a close 3rd, The chairs and the solid wood table were a steal of a deal and fit perfectly in our dining nook! Lastly our 1year anniversary photos in these gorgeous mirror frames (home depot $20 for all 3!)<3
My office is an area I am really working on and trying to make my own, Im no where near being done with this space but wanted to show some bits and pieces! Ive got my fun gallery wall set up (FYI the gold arrows were made by a friend who took up wood working here in Edmonton, click here for her Etsy Page!). I also want to do a full family gallery wall around our wedding photos so that is a big work in progress! Lastly I love my buddha, I bought him in Thailand and lugged him all the way home, his rustic, golden finish is perfection and my favourite piece in my office!
The last room on the main floor is the laundry room! My favourite piece is the folding table on top of our washer and dryer, It makes life so much easier to be able to pull clothes out of dryer and through them up there to fold! There will also have a hanging rack above that is yet to be installed!
In the basement there isn’t much right now, we have a set of lazy boy chairs and a sofa surrounding our projector, a ping pong table and my little workout area. At first I was pretty leery of projectors but man it is the cat’s ass! I refuse to watch television that is not on a projector anymore! I was blown away by the quality of the image and the price is unbeatable, if you guys have a wall, any wall don’t buy a tv! Buy a projector screen!!
Upstairs in the guest bedroom/bathroom I wanted to do a combo of grey and yellow and found the perfect bedding and bathroom accessory from of course, you guessed it! Home Sense haha! I promise to share the guest bedroom once I get pillows and everything set up! My favourite pieces are my elephant towels<3
In our master bedroom we decided to do white and blue, this paisley bedding I found at home sense is perfection and matches my do it yourself dresser perfectly! Pardon the wrinkles on the duvet Ill get on that eventually! We still also need nightstands and a canvas for above our bed, I would love a pack of elephants with hints of blue but have yet to find, so keep an eye out for me!!
I am in love with our bathroom, the under the counter sinks, the quartz, the tiling, and the big tub and shower, I might as well just live in here oh and did I mention the vanity!!
Ive saved the best for last!! The master closet!!
Oh and I couldn’t forget Cali’s favourites, our staircase landing and her food and water bowl drawer!
