After talking with a girlfriend last week about trying to eat healthier, she mentioned a chia seed pudding. I always have a ton of Chia seeds lying around the house as I love to put them in my smoothies so I thought I might as well give it a whirl! Side note: You can use Vanilla Almond milk but I had some left over chocolate almond milk and thought I might as well use it up!
I actually did not measure any of the chia seeds out (pure laziness), I poured the chia seeds into the mason Jar a little less 1/4 of the way up and added the chocolate almond milk almost to the bottom ridge of the mason jar and it came out perfect (I would keep the chia seeds to a 1 to 4 consistency in whatever container you are using!) I did leave the jar in the fridge overnight to let the seeds expand fully and in the morning they were perfect and it is sooooo good!!!! I did not have to add any other ingredients because of the chocolate flavouring however I have read if you use regular almond milk you can add honey for some sweetness or a little shot of sugar free vanilla syrup! Another Side Note: I also like to buy my Chia Seeds at Winners or HomeSense, they are usually half the price there than at grocery stores!
I hope you guys enjoyed this fun and scrumptious recipe!
