My mom and I had such an amazing trip to Kauai that I wanted to share it with you guys! I can’t even describe how much I loved this island in Hawaii, the ocean, the beaches, the lush greenery and my absolute favourite thing, how minimally touristy it was.

First Reason to Visit Kauai, the Sunrise/Sunset! Absolutely spectacular! We stayed just outside of Kapaa which is on the west side of the island so we got to see some spectacular sunrises!

Second reason, Kauai is know as the Garden Island and for good reason! The island is filled with beautiful, lush flowers, bushes and trees!

Third Reason, the Na Pali Coast. This was by far the highlight of my trip! We booked Captain Andy’s BBQ cruise and had an absolute blast as well as saw some of the most stunning scenery I have ever seen including a pod of over 100 dolphins!!!!!! (This was one of my biggest dreams come true, witness a pod of wild dolphins so I had to include two videos!!)

Fourth Reason, Waimea Canyon. This is Kauai’s version of the Grand Canyon, a beautiful drive up the mountain and panoramic views of the ocean on your way up make for a beautiful trip to the canyon. While it is a shorter visit as there is one look out point, it is beautiful!

My favourite town we visited on the island minus Kapaa was Poipu. Its a very touristy little town that borders the coasts and with little neat shops and lots to do (including the spouting horn) its a must see on the island!

My favourite beach to walk on was Lydgate just east of Kapaa. It was stunning, wide and literally untouched, only buy a few locals!

My favourite restaurant we ate at was Kountry Kitchen in Kapaa. (I don’t have a picture:() but I had the best coconut pancakes of my life there and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting in the area!

I hope you guys have enjoyed this little peak into Kauai. I can’t wait to bring Clayton back with me again soon!!

Have a great weekend!
