Sephora Haul + Holiday First Access

My mom and I visited the Sephora at Kingsway this past weekend to attend their VIB Holiday First Access event! It was a great event with coffee, snacks and tons of new goodies to explore!

Lets see what I walked away with!!

Tarte Pretty Paintbox Collectors Makeup Case $77 (Value $543.00)

This gorgeous kit has you covered on all fronts, 24 stunning limited edition eyeshadows, a waterproof micro liner, Tarteist lash paint mascara, goosy lip paint ANDDD a four piece cheek kit to, accentuate contour and highlight!

Pro’s

This palette literally has everything you need, a one stop shop with beautiful, quality made products. Tarte is one of my favourite brands and with a variety of colours and shades, it offers every skin tone an option for a minimal or full face makeup application!

Con’s

The package is beautiful but not fully travel or wear proof. With the fabric front cover my fear would be it getting dirty very quickly, also with the magnetized closure, there is no way to secure the kit shut so I would definitely not be bringing this with me on any trips.

Verdict

If you are looking for a great kit for the makeup lover, a palette that can be used relentlessly everyday, I would definitely recommend it. When you also consider the value of this palette at $543, for only $77 it is a deal hard to walk away from!

Bite Beauty Set $29 ($64 Value)

This was the first kit I instantly gravitated towards. I have heard great things about the quality and consistency of their Bite products so it was a no brainer and also a great price and kit to try out their products! This kit comes with four shades, varying from nude to plum as seen below and i already love the pigment and feel of these lipsticks.

Pro’s

Great starter kit to try out the products (their lipsticks start at $30 each) so to be able to try four shades for $29 its a great deal!

Con’s

The only negative I would mention is that they are quite small, great for travel but if you fall in love with a shade you’ll definitely need to go ahead and buy the larger size as it won’t last you long!

Verdict

Great product, very reasonable price, a win win!

Last up is the Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks! These were not included in the holiday access however Ive been eyeing these for a while and wanted to take advantage of the 4X the points until September 19th!

The first one i opted for was the Project Chimps Everlasting Liquid Lipstick. I researched this shade online and it has unbelievably good ratings and now I know why! The colour is absolutely stunning and perfect for fall. I also am so in love with the fact that 20% of the price of every lipstick is donated to Project Chimps, an organization that helps retire biomedical research chimps to a life of freedom. Win, Win, Win!

The second shade is Bow N Arrow, another liquid lipstick that has a great reputation. I am really loving browns this fall and this is the perfectly nude/warm shade!

Verdict

Both are worth the investment as the quality, pigment and longevity of these shades is fantastic!

I hope you guys have enjoyed this Sephora haul and you all have a great week!

Currently Loving

With all the rain we have been getting its hard to believe we are in July, I feel like this summer especially is flying by!!

These products I have been trying and loving lately!

Mac Custom Palette 9x

Recently I have been very picky and choosy with my eyeshadows, sometimes you buy a palette and you may only use a couple shades in the palette while the rest go to waste. This custom palette alleviates that problem. You can try all the colours in a Mac store and create your own, ensuring no shadows goes to waste!

Smith & Cult Nail Polish in Psycho Candy

Sabrina of Miss Boss got me on this nail polish and its fabulous!! First of this colour is to die for, the perfect coral!! It is on the expensive side at $26 however one swipe of the dark pigment is all you need, one coat and done! I love the range of colours they have as well as they are formulated without Dibutyl, Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor. Yay for less chemicals!!

Essie Nail Polish in Topless & Barefoot

As an opposing colour to the Smith & Cult Psycho Candy I am loving this Essie neutral, nude with just a hint of pink!!

Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer

Because I am such a fan of the clinique skin care line this foundation was very intriguing to me! A foundation + concealer.. yes please!! This has a beautiful natural finish, covers any redness or unevenness in the skin and builds beautifully on the skin for more coverage.  I also love the small applicator brush, it makes it very easy to apply and then blot with a beauty blender! If you are looking for an all in one foundation + concealer I would definitely give this a whirl!

Mac Mineralize Skin Finish in Global Glow

Still on the highlighter train I have literally had this forever, I may have even stole it form my mom!! I found it in a drawer and have been using it ever since! My favourite combination is this highlighter and the Amaretto blush from the Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Palette!

Mac Black Eyelash Curler

This eyelash curler is life. After Rakhee of Blushed Beaute used this on me I was sold! It curl your lashes perfectly and the hold is amazing, worth the money for sure and something I use everyday religiously!
