1970’s Inspired Fall Look

I could easily say fall fashion is my absolute favourite, not only for the comfort, textures and rich colours but for the layering! When I was putting this look together I was inspired by the era of hippies and flare jeans, with an modernized, edgy & boho vibe! I am such a huge fan of ponchos (especially ones that can double as scarves) and styling this one in particular with an edgier criss cross t shirt from Tobi and flare jeans worked flawlessly! Each piece really complimented each other and it is an outfit that would look good and compliment any body type!

I have linked all of my outfit details below and hope this look inspires any of you to have fun with your fashion<3

Warehouse One Giveaway

I was absolutely elated when Warehouse One approached me to partner with them to showcase some of their fabulous new styles for fall! If you are not familiar with them, Warehouse One is a Canadian retailer that specializes in jeans and offers a huge range of sizes to fit all body types including ladies’ jeans in sizes 24-36 and 14+-22+ and ladies’ tops in XS-XXXL! They have 129 stores throughout Canada and also offer online shopping as well at http://www.warehouseone.com.

I really resonated with their styles and their goals to give their customers fashion forward pieces that fit well, flatter and are affordable. As women and moms it is so important to our self confidence that we feel good in the clothes we are wearing. I could not say enough good things about the selection, fit and comfort of the clothes I tried on at Warehouse One, especially their jeans!! I tried about 4 different pairs and besides the length of one, I loved every single one of them. I ended up choosing the Bottoms Up Skinny Jeans, that are cut and sewn to give a little boost to your bum! I mean what women doesn’t want a little extra lift back there that doesn’t require the gym!! They also have a beautiful stretch in them, I don’t know about you but I won’t buy my jeans without a little stretch, it makes them more comfortable and flattering! I also instantly fell in love with this olive relaxed tee and floral bomber. Both styles are so cute, comfortable, flattering and super affordable, each piece giving you endless possibilities when it comes to working with your own wardrobe! I have added the direct link for each piece below!

And now to the Giveaway!!!!!!! Warehouse One has been generous enough to give TWO!! of my followers free jean gift certificates so you can nab a pair of these fabulous jeans!!

Easter Stripes with a Pop Of Colour

With Good Friday tomorrow it is time to celebrate Easter with good food and family! With Easter usually comes dinners, brunches and an excuse to get a little dressed up! I have teamed up with Miss Boss to bring you a beautiful option for an Easter outfit this weekend!

Monochromic stripes are such a great option, in my opinion, for any outing casual or dressy and this BB Dakota Jaxson Striped Dress is utter perfection. A thick and stretchy material, it is perfect for a comfy laid back option with sneakers or a dressier look like this one that we have put together! (I also love that its not tight especially if you are conscious of your mid section like this mama!!) It allows you an easy to pair base with any other piece in your wardrobe, patterned (floral would be adorable too) or colour! (It snowed the day we took these photos so I added some leggings and boots however a cute pair of ankle booties without the leggings would be a great option too if the weather is warmer where you are!). Also keep in mind I am 5’10 so the dress came a bit high on me but for anyone smaller it would be a great fit without the need to wear anything underneath!

Now lets talk accessories! This coral Matt and Nat Abiko clutch is the perfect pop of pink for this Easter weekend! I love the clutch handle and the three pockets that allow you to fit everything you need! I paired this outfit with knee high boots and a sparkly necklace and earrings to dress it up a bit (all accessories are linked below), you could also get away with a pop of colour with your accessories too. See what I mean, the options are endless!

Lastly lets talk about this bomber. I mean what can you say, this BB Dakota Troy Jacket is perfection! I loved the cropped length, perfect to be paired with a dress like this one or a t-shirt and jeans! I also love the beautiful silver detailed zipper and drawstring bottom. This is a jacket that will transition flawlessly from spring to summer to fall and the neutral black colouring will compliment any outfit! Definitely a wardrobe staple for sure!

Ive posted the remaining details of my outfit below, I hope you all have a wonderful Easter filled weekend with yummy food and much love!

Transitioning into Spring: Flares

Spring has sprung in Edmonton and the weather for the most part has been amazing minus a little overnight snow fall!!!

Spring can be a more difficult time to dress because it is still cooler in the morning and at night. It is too cold to wear sandals and shorts but warm enough you don’t want to wear a jacket! This combo is ideal for transitioning into spring and I am loving flare jeans paired with a thick wedge and flowy top!

Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!
